“Had the great, GREAT pleasure of getting my hair cut by Mike at La Jolla barbershop. This man was nothing short of professional, caring and you can tell he had a love and respect for the craft. When you first go in it’s not the biggest joint but it’s welcoming (think homey like a haircut at your auntie or uncle’s house) and Mikey offers everyone there drinks like soda, water and Red Bull. I been getting barbershop cuts since I was in college and most folks do a solid job but Mikey was different because he knows how to cut Asian hair. Asian hair is different because like myself the hair is a bit thinner and straight so when you fade you have to be careful or you see a lot more skin than what is intended. I asked for a combover hairstyle with the sides and back as tight as possible with a fade. To this day I think it’s probably the best haircut I ever received and that is no joke. Prices are good especially given the location! I would definitely come back should I visit San Diego again.
